Dr. Robert Parsley, originally from Eastern Kentucky, graduated from the Auburn University Veterinary School in 2003, and shortly thereafter moved to Mount Juliet. He practiced at another clinic here in town for several years then opened his own practice in 2007. He and his wife Cathy have one dog and two cats. He enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.
*At this time Dr. Parsley is not accepting new clients, however our other wonderful doctors would be happy to see new clients.
Dr. Rachel E. Day, a Mt. Juliet native, graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville Veterinary School in 2010 then began her career here. She has two cats and a dog. She enjoys reading, cooking and road trips.
Dr. Jessica Huffman Gilliam, originally from Ohio, has called Mt. Juliet home since 2001 and graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville Veterinary School in 2011 then began her career here. She has a cat and two dogs. She enjoys cooking, hiking and spending time with her family.
Dr. David Lewis, originally from Lexington, Kentucky, graduated from the Auburn University Veterinary School in 2009 and joined our practice in 2013. He has two dogs, two cats and a fish. He enjoys triathlons, being outdoors, volunteering with the Wilson County Disaster Animal Response Team (DART) and spending time with his family.
Dr Erin Hooper is originally from Alabama and has called Tennessee home for over ten years. She graduated from the University of TN Knoxville Veterinary School in 2014 then began her career here. She has two dogs and three cats. She enjoys exercising, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Amanda McElyea is from Ridgetop, TN. She graduated from the University of TN Knoxville Veterinary School in 2016 then began her career here. She has one cat, two dogs and an Amazon parrot. She enjoys reading, riding four-wheelers and fishing with her father on Lake Kentucky.
Dr Casey Smallwood is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a new 2018 graduate of Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine near Boston, MA. He has a golden retriever back in Pittsburgh. He enjoys reading, cooking, exercising and exploring new places to eat in Nashville. He enjoys the teamwork/camaraderie with everyone that works at Countryside, but also the amount of animals and their owners he gets to help everyday.
Dr Octavia Darwin is originally from New York and is a recent graduate of UT Knoxville's Veterinary School. She has a black and tan coonhound, a turtle and a snake. She enjoys singing, dancing, playing piano and traveling with family and friends. She enjoys the family atmosphere we have here, and loves getting to help so many pets and meeting the owners that love them.
